Alma Libaas was created from my heart, with so much love and intention.

My name is Shay. I am a Latina Muslim woman of Mexican and Salvadoran roots, and I embraced Islam in 2023. My journey into Islam changed me deeply, and through it grew a love for modesty, femininity, and the quiet beauty found in covering. Alma Libaas was born from that love and from a desire to create something meaningful for women like you.

I created this brand to uplift and empower Muslimas around the world through luxury modest accessories. I saw how difficult it was to find refined, high-quality niqabs. Especially pieces made for special occasions like nikahs and weddings. I wanted to create something that felt as beautiful and special as those moments.

Alma Libaas was also shaped by real experiences. I wanted to ease some of the everyday challenges niqabi women face. That’s why our signature niqabs are double-layered, with a removable inner layer made from soft, absorbent cotton; Designed with care for comfort, makeup wear, and everyday stains, while still feeling luxurious.

Because Islam is for every soul and every culture, reflecting my Latina roots through Alma Libaas was deeply important to me. I wanted this brand to carry warmth and soul. A space where faith, femininity, and Latina identity gently meet.
